ROAM Overview
Designed primarily for use in healthcare, the architecture and business model of AnyWare Group's ROAM Platform, is ideally suited for jurisdictions and groups of hospitals wanting to provide remote access to human resources, technology, and information. While very beneficial when used by a single hospital, ROAM is unique in its ability to span access across a group of associated organizations or facilities. Collaboration through ROAM extends the reach and accessibility of authorized caregivers across locations, hospitals and jurisdictions, allowing the delivery of timely patient information between systems, caregivers and the point-of-care. With ROAM, healthcare workers can access PACS imaging systems, write and sign-off reports, monitor patients and order services, using whatever computer is available, regardless of their browser or operating system. The platform contains a security framework to create the secure connection; an identity management framework to ensure only authorized users are granted access; a set of integration tools to allow every type of application to be accessed;, a reporting engine to track all user activity; a role based portal to provide users with an intuitive interface; and a variety of integrated business services to increase productivity. AnyWare Group's platform is designed to integrate and securely deliver web, legacy, client/server, and other custom applications to a PC or MAC. Since healthcare organizations specifically require access to a wide variety of applications (including EMR applications, PACs, email and internal files systems), AnyWare has pre-packaged integration to all major healthcare applications. ROAM is a managed service designed to eliminate 100% of the financial and technology risks associated with selecting and implementing a remote access solution. With no hardware or software to purchase, install, maintain and support, ROAM provides fixed and predictable operating costs and the lowest total cost of ownership. The ROAM Platform speeds up the implementation of remote access by combining components like security, user access management, and system integration tools, as well as Level 2 and Level 3 support and engineering into a single solution. This policy-driven, role-based control of access to secured corporate assets provides a centralized approach to simplify network management for IT staff, while providing reporting mechanisms for auditing. The ROAM platform is divided into the following major components:
