AnyWare Group Continues To Grow Industry Leading Secure Remote Access Technology — ROAM
February 2, 2005 — Additional New Brunswick Health Care Providers Adopt AnyWare Group's Technology
SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA — FEBRUARY 2, 2005 — AnyWare Group today announced that the Restigouche Health Authority and the Miramichi Regional Health Authority have chosen AnyWare Group's Role Oriented Access Management (ROAM) system to provide secure identity and access management to their remote and mobile workforce.
Restigouche Health Authority and the Miramichi Regional Health Authority join Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation and South-East Regional Health Authority in delivering ROAM. This brings the number to four Regional Health Authorities in New Brunswick that have adopted ROAM as their secure remote access and identity management solution.
The ROAM fully managed service provides industry leading security technologies that allows these regional health authorities and their medical teams to access information systems using any device, a standard web browser and the Internet.
“A secure remote access solution was critical to the delivery of health care services in our region. Being in a remote area of the province, we utilize physicians from a number of areas, including New Brunswick and Quebec. Many of these physicians are specialists; they are not always on site and may only visit us occasionally, however, they needed to provide timely responses to patients and track their progress where and when required.” said Ghislain Roy, Director of Information Systems at Restigouche Health Authority.
“We were asked to provide users with secure remote access, but because of the various geographic locations, it was both time and cost prohibitive to support a typical IPSec VPN solution. We were looking for a more cost effective, “touchless” approach. Our colleagues at South East Regional Health Authority had similar requirements and introduced us to ROAM and the AnyWare Group. We’re now deploying ROAM to our users and the feedback is very positive.” said Mr. Roy.
